January has become one of our favorite times to take little road trips with the kids. We just finished the busiest season of the year. I never feel like we properly celebrate the kids’ birthdays in December, so we’ve started telling them a surprise travel destination on their birthdays and take off as soon as Christmas decorations are packed away. Our oldest is very into outer space right now and wants to work on the International Space Station some day, so we spent the day in Huntsville, AL yesterday at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
