Everything in this universe (galaxies, planets, stars, etc) that we have seen only takes up 5% of what’s really there �� the other 95% is what’s known as dark energy (68%) and dark matter (27%). Dark energy is the force that pulls the universe apart and dark matter is invisible but we know it’s existence due to the force it exerts on objects and the role it plays in the universe’s expansion.
