Feast your eyes on one of the best photographs ever taken of the Planet Jupiter. That’s because NASA’s Juno spacecraft is closer than any mission has ever been to the giant planet.
From this vantage, Juno is just 5,000 km above the cloudtops of the planet.
That swirling structure is Jupiter’s Little Red Spot. An anti-cyclonic storm that’s been growing in size over the last 23 years after the merger of several smaller storms.
