Looks like outer space is even celebrating Christmas with the Cat’s Eye Nebula, NGC 6543, the remnants of a massive supernova that occurred years ago. The center is either an unbelievably heavy neutron star, a small sphere composed of iron (one teaspoon of this would weigh 100 billion tons) or a black hole, the result of the massive mass of the star collapsing in on itself and making a point in space with gravity so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape. Have a very merry Christmas!
