NASA astronauts Peggy Whitson and Shane Kimbrough ventured outside the International Space Station today for a spacewalk that lasted over 6 hours. The main objective was to upgrade certain hardware for the ISS that would enable a power upgrade using larger lithium-ion batteries. Whitson and Kimbrough managed to complete their main objective early and were able to carry out an extra 2 get ahead tasks. ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet managed to capture this image of Peggy Whitson as she entered the ISS quest airlock.
