The Japanese HTV-6 cargo ship is seen undocking from the International Space Station earlier today. The cargo ship previously carried a large collection of supplies to the ISS prior to Christmas. During its descent, Japan will carry out the Kounotori Integrated Tether Experiment (KITE) where it will examine the possibilities of collecting space junk using a connected tether. The junk, along with the ship itself, will then hopefully burn up during re-entry.
