My mom found something amazing while getting my grandparents’ house ready for an estate sale: a piece of the floor grid of the first Skylab space station.
My grandpa worked for Douglas Aircraft Company in the 1960s & 70s and was given the opportunity to be part of Skylab’s maintenance team. He was so proud to have been part of the space program in it’s infancy, and I’m grateful for the stories he left me with.
