Apollo 9 lunar module pilot Rusty Schweikart completing an EVA outside of the lunar module, Spider, that was docked with the CSM, Gumdrop, on March 6, 1969. This was to test a new EVA mobility unit and life support backpack. This was also America’s first EVA since Gemini XII in November of 1966. Have a great day!
