Al, Gus, and John, the three first men. Each of them did something amazing in their own way for the space program. Al was given the opportunity to walk on the Moon and discover that small and unknown sphere. Gus was given the opportunity to pave the way for space exploration as we know it today as he and John Young commenced the manned Gemini program. John was given the opportunity to make the perilous trek into Earth orbit for the first time for our nation, and discover something beautiful. Yet even though they performed their own feat, they are each some of the greatest of heroes for all of us.
