50 years ago on January 27th 1967 the world lost three amazing and talented astronauts. The crew of Apollo 1 Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee are not only remembered for their sacrifice to space exploration and manned spaceflight but by the type of husbands, fathers and friends they were to the people around them. Today we remember the crew, and the sacrifice that many experts to this day believe paved the way to get us to the moon. – Jay
