NASA’s Booster Fabrication Facility at @nasakennedy has been around since the shuttle program in the mid-1980s. Today, we are using the building to prepare our solid rocket boosters for the Exploration Mission 1 (EM-1) flight of NASA’s Space Launch System, expected to launch next year. These boosters are similar to those that flew on 2009’s Ares I-X mission. Here, our Director of KSC Engineering, Larry Clark, shows off a skirt from one of the boosters of the Ares I-X mission inside the BFF.
