This is how the Orion Nebula looked like approximately 1325 years ago (it is ~1325 light years away). Spent the last 48 hours taking another shot at the Orion Nebula.
This time shot frames at 500mm. Took a total of 900 Light, 50 Dark and 50 Bias Frames. Stacked them using Deep Sky Stacker (as expected it took several hours on a beefy machine to process ~26GB of data) and Post-Processed the result in Photoshop & Lightroom to get this final image. This is the most detailed image of the Orion Nebula I’ve ever taken. Hope you like it.
