This is a Spider Plant. Did you know that it is one of several types of houseplants that have traveled to space? NASA brought certain common houseplants on board the International Space Station (ISS) to study which ones helped clean and filter the air of toxic agents.
Come by the museum Sunday for our \ »Blast Off\ » space themed Families Learn Together program (every 2nd Sunday) and see a spider plant up close. A limited number will be available to take home (1 per family)!
