Today, in 1968, Apollo 8 astronauts Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and William Anders (pictured) splashed down in the Pacific Ocean after their historic mission. Hey truly accomplished so much for all of us during this mission. While Apollo 11 was the first mission to touch down on the Moon, Apollo 8 was the first mission that actually reached this small and mysterious world. After this mission, they would be named the Time Magazine men of the year. Thank you Frank, Jim, and Bill for everything you have done for all of us. Have a great day!
