NASA releases AMAZING photo of the International Space Station transiting the Sun!

All astronomers will agree with me when I say that transit photos are among the toughest to capture. Partially, because they only last for fleeting moments. Plus, the mathematical chances of a transit are rare, in some cases only occurring once per decade!

Not to mention, the ISS is one of the few space objects that CAN transit. Being that objects must orbit between Earth and the Sun to appear in-transit, Venus, Mercury and manmade satellites are the only opportunities we have.
What a sensational photo!
