Saturn’s moon Tethys may look like an eyeball staring off into space, but that large circle is the result of an enormous impact crater. Like any solar system moon, Tethys has suffered many impacts. In this case, a large impact not only created a crater, but the rebound of the impact casued the mountainous peaks to form in the center of the crater. ||
