Mercury Monday! Mercury is the smallest planet in our Solar System (not including Pluto), it’s about the size of the United States. You would think that because it is the planet closest to the sun, it would be the hottest but Venus takes the cake on this! A year on Mercury is only 88 days because of the close distance to the sun. There is no water but it is known of the ice deep in its craters.
